Do you wake up each morning with excitement and anticipation about your business? Do you look forward to who you will meet and how you may be able to help that person with the services or products and opportunity you provide?
If you answered ‘no,’ you may not be passionate about what you do. Do you know what could happen as a result of not being passionate, not loving what you do?
When asked what is the single most important advice to give entrepreneurs, Steve Jobs replied, “People say you have to have a lot of passion for what you do, and it’s true. And the reason is because it’s so hard; that if you don’t, any rational person would give up.
“It’s really hard, and you have to do it for a sustained period of time. So if you don’t love it, you don’t have fun doing it and love it, you are going to give up. And that’s what happens to most people.”
“If you really look at the ones that end up being “successful,” in the eyes of the society, and the ones who didn’t, often times it is the ones that were successful that loved what they did so they could persevere when it got really tough. And the ones that didn’t love it, quit! Because they are sane!
“Who would want to put up with this stuff if you didn’t love it? So, it’s a lot of hard work. It’s a lot of worrying, constantly. If you don’t love it, you are going to fail. So you got to love it, you have to have passion.”

Do you know who is your ideal prospect? Why would you care to know?
One of the biggest difficulties in the direct sales and network marketing industry is that directors, consultants and distributors don’t know how to find prospects. They go to family and friends and anyone in general, pushing product samples or catalogues, hoping these potential prospects will get excited about the business. However, this not only impacts their individual success, it also creates an image problem in the industry overall.
Today, whether it is offline or online, people are looking for community and connection. They are not looking to be sold and if you continue to use that model, you are going to be burned out, stressed out and probably upsetting a lot of people around you.
If you don’t know who is your ideal prospect and have a clear picture, you will be spending time and money in the wrong places. When you discover who is your ideal prospect, you will easily find them, analyze whether they are the right fit and from there, you will be able to expand your reach beyond your own borders to attract your ideal prospects.

A key to success is having an attitude of gratitude. When you have an attitude of gratitude and give blessings to the people and world around, you can dramatically draw more good into your life.
To be more aware and expressive of gratitude, complete this exercise:
Write down all the things you are grateful for that you already have in your life. Include all things in this gratitude, because it has all led you to this point where you will begin to consciously attract success.

Recently, I read a book, “Write It Down, Make It Happen, Knowing What You Want – and Getting It!” by Henriette Anne Klauser.
In her book, Henriette explains how writing down your goals is the first step toward achieving them. And she gives examples of ordinary people who witnessed miracles large and small unfold after they performed the simple act of putting their dreams on paper.
What I like is that she says there is no “right way” to write down a goal – a single line jotted onto a scrap of paper is as valuable as a full-blown description that goes on for several pages. She goes on to say that through your writing, your subconscious is letting you know what you want. Writing speaks to us, gives us clues, sometimes in round about ways. Listen carefully. Use your writing to interpret the symbols. And think BIG. Here are some of her down-to-earth tips and easy exercises to get your creative juices flowing:

What if you stay in a job and continue to do work that brings no joy or happiness? What will happen if you don’t make a change?”
Many people continue doing the same thing day in and day out, knowing that it is unfulfilling, yet without thinking how it is affecting their life.
What is a stake? Will it be your health? Will it be your relationship or marriage?
Do you fear what might happen if you take a risk and started to make changes in your life, which would lead to a fulfilling life?
What if you would like to start a business or go back to school? These were all the questions I asked myself.
It was not that I minimized my work, home and family success, but I just felt that there had to be more to life. I felt empty doing work that didn’t give me joy or happiness. I felt unfulfilled.

It scared me to death thinking of my life ending and me knowing that I didn’t have the courage to pursue my goals and dreams! That was when I made a decision to change my life. Neale Donald Walsh said, “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” The reason he says this is because when we are out of our ‘comfort zone’ we have to learn to trust and our faith grows. Brian Tracy states that the level of our success has an exact relationship to our faith, or belief in our success.
Are you waiting for your potential prospects to phone you and tell you they want to join your team, rather than you following up with them? Are you getting ready to get ready before you attend that networking event or give that presentation?
If you think, by waiting, you will get comfortable doing the thing you don’t want to do to or are scared to do, you may be waiting a long time. It may never happen. You have to get uncomfortable. In fact, the more you do things that are uncomfortable, the more comfortable you will be about being uncomfortable!

Have you ever caught yourself avoiding doing something that you know will move your business forward? Maybe you are scared to make those follow up calls, so instead you keep yourself busy.
Have you noticed that when you put off whatever you are avoiding, that thing starts to weigh on your mind, and the longer you leave it, the harder it becomes to take action?
What is the pay-off from putting off things? What is the pay-off from not making those followup calls, not going to networking events, not booking the parties or not attending the training events?
I learned when I put off doing things, it had its consequences on my business. If you put off doing the things you need to grow your business, guess what? Your business will not grow, and more importantly, neither will your bank account!
When the pain of not doing something becomes greater than the pain of doing it, resistance will magically disappear. More often than not, you will find that it wasn’t as bad as you thought after all.
