A SIMPLE KEY TO SUCCESS

“The  expression of  gratitude is a powerful force that generates even more of what we have already received.”  ~Deepak Chopra

A key to success is having an attitude of gratitude.  When you have an attitude of gratitude and give blessings to the people and world around, you can dramatically draw more good into your life.

To be more aware and expressive of gratitude, complete this exercise:

Write down all the things you are grateful for that you already have in your life.  Include all things in this gratitude, because it has all led you to this point where you will begin to consciously attract success.

What are you most grateful for in your life?

DON’T QUIT

Posted on 19. Feb, 2012 by in Blog

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about

When he might have won had he stuck it out;

Don’t give up though the pace seems slow–

You may succeed with another blow,

Success is failure turned inside out–

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems so far;

So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit–

It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

THERE IS NO “RIGHT WAY”

Posted on 10. Feb, 2012 by in Blog

Recently, I read a book, “Write It Down, Make It Happen, Knowing What You Want – and Getting It!” by Henriette Anne Klauser.

In her book, Henriette explains how writing down your goals is the first step toward achieving them. And she gives examples of ordinary people who witnessed miracles large and small unfold after they performed the simple act of putting their dreams on paper.

What I like is that she says there is no “right way” to write down a goal – a single line jotted onto a scrap of paper is as valuable as a full-blown description that goes on for several pages. She goes on to say that through your writing, your subconscious is letting you know what you want. Writing speaks to us, gives us clues, sometimes in round about ways. Listen carefully. Use your writing to interpret the symbols. And think BIG. Here are some of her down-to-earth tips and easy exercises to get your creative juices flowing:

  • Frame three questions about your life, write them down, fold them, and place them randomly in numbered envelopes. Over a period of several days or even weeks, meditate, then look up and write a quick story about what ever catches your eye or come into your mind. After you have written the story, open one of the envelopes and see what question you have answered.
  • Writing a full-fledged description of what you want is a way of saying you believe that it’s attainable and you are ready to receive it. The more precise you can be, the more ready you are. Write a visualization in loving detail – not only depicting your goal, but rehearsing what the particulars of your daily life will be like once this goal is realized.
  • When you wrote out your goal, did you find fears encroaching on your territory, almost immediately? This is the time to dispel them. Don’t leave them inside your head; write them down. Writing separates the dream from the fear; writing about your anxiety makes it an entity existing outside of your goal. Write down your fears, and take the churning out of them.

Do you write out your goals?  Your comments are welcome, encouraged and greatly appreciated.

IN CHANGE THERE IS POWER

“One isn’t necessarily born with courage, but one is born with potential. Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can’t be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest. ” ~Maya Angelou

It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.” ~Alan Cohen

Courage and perseverance have a magical talisman, before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into air.” ~John Quincy Adams

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’” ~Eleanor Roosevelt

Courage is resistance to fear, master of fear, not absence of fear.” ~ Mark Twain

Do you have courage to do what you need to do to create the life you want?  When will you begin?  You can start today.

ASK YOURSELF, “WHAT IF….”

Posted on 02. Feb, 2012 by in Blog

What if you stay in a job and continue to do work that brings no joy or happiness?  What will happen if you don’t make a change?”

Many people continue doing the same thing day in and day out, knowing that it is unfulfilling, yet without thinking how it is affecting their life.

What is a stake?  Will it be your health?  Will it be your relationship or marriage?

Do you fear what might happen if you take a risk and started to make changes in your life, which would lead to a fulfilling life?

What if you would like to start a business or go back to school?  These were all the questions I asked myself.

It was not that I minimized my work, home and family success, but I just felt that there had to be more to life.  I felt empty doing work that didn’t give me joy or happiness. I felt unfulfilled.

Imagine your life coming to an end and how you will feel.  Will you feel unfulfilled?  It scared me to death thinking of my life ending and me knowing that I didn’t have the courage to pursue my goals and dreams!  That was when I made a decision to change my life.  I was no longer going to make excuses.

Are you passionate about the life you are living?  If you would like to explore how you can start making changes,  go here.  Start today!
